This Privacy Policy describes how Orantes ("we", "our", "us") handles personal data when you use our mobile app, admin panel, or website.
Who we are
Orantes is a Catholic prayer application operated by Eryk Kruk. For privacy questions or data-subject requests, write to privacy@orantes.app.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address when you sign in with email, and an anonymous device identifier if you continue as a guest.
- Prayer activity: which prayers you start and complete, your streak, and optional prayer intentions you write.
- Device data: app version, device model, and OS version — collected only to diagnose crashes and compatibility.
- Community data (optional): family or parish you join, and intentions you explicitly share with those groups.
What we never collect
We do not sell your data. We do not track your precise location. We do not read your contacts, photos, or microphone. The content of your private prayers is never transmitted off your device unless you explicitly share it with a family or parish.
How we use it
- To render the app and sync progress across your devices.
- To send the one-time codes that sign you in when you choose email login.
- To measure aggregate engagement (how many people pray each day) — never at an individual level shared with third parties.
- To notify pastors about intentions their parishioners have shared with the parish, when you explicitly chose that visibility.
Third parties
We use Resend to send email one-time codes, Vercel to host the web surfaces, and Apple and Google for app delivery on their stores. Planned additions (RevenueCat for subscriptions, Sentry for error monitoring) will be listed here once they go live.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request a copy of your data, request deletion, or withdraw consent to email communications at any time. Write to privacy@orantes.app and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
Orantes is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be highlighted on the app's home screen before they take effect.
