These Terms of Use govern your access to Orantes — the mobile app, admin panel, and website ("Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms.
Who can use Orantes
You must be at least 13 years old. Admin-panel access is granted only to people affiliated with a parish or organization we have approved.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account. Do not share your sign-in code or access token. Tell us at privacy@orantes.app if you believe your account was used without your permission.
How you may use the Service
- For personal prayer and study.
- For parish and family community use when properly subscribed.
- You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or scrape our catalog content.
- You may not submit intentions or custom prayers that are obscene, harassing, or promote violence.
Subscriptions and payments
Orantes offers a free tier and paid tiers (Premium for individuals, Parish for communities). When implemented, subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your app store account.
Content ownership
Traditional Catholic prayers in our catalog are in the public domain; our narration, audio, voice recordings, and app source code are ours (© Orantes). Custom prayers you write are yours, and we only use them to render them back to you and, if you choose, to the family or parish you shared them with.
Pastoral liability
Orantes is a devotional tool, not a substitute for the sacraments, catechesis, or spiritual direction from a priest. We do our best to render traditional prayers faithfully, but you should defer to your pastor on matters of doctrine or practice.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the platform; we will contact you first where reasonable.
No warranty; limit of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Orantes is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be highlighted on the app's home screen before they take effect.
